Seller Terms
Last updated: October 12, 2026
By creating a seller account on Bonbba, you agree to all terms below. Please read carefully. These terms work together with the Terms of Service.
1. Fees — $0 Commission
- Listing is free. There is no listing fee.
- Selling commission is $0. You keep 100% of your sale price.
- Bonbba absorbs the payment processing costs charged by Stripe on your sales. Processing fees are not deducted from your payout.
- Buyers pay a buyer fee of 5% of the item price plus $0.70 at checkout. The buyer pays this fee — it is never taken out of your sale price.
- Optional boosts: you may boost a listing for wider visibility. A boost costs 10% of the item's sale price. It is charged only if the boosted item sells, and it is deducted from that sale's payout. Example: a boosted $50 item sells — you receive $50 − $5 boost = $45. If that sale is later refunded, the boost charge for it is returned as part of the reversal.
2. Payments & Payouts
- All payments are processed by Stripe. Buyers pay first. The payment is held securely through Stripe — it is not paid to you immediately.
- Held funds are released to you when the buyer confirms delivery.
- Automatic release: if the buyer has not confirmed delivery and has not opened a dispute, held funds are released to you automatically 14 days after the order is marked shipped.
- If a dispute is open, funds stay held until the dispute is decided.
- Released funds are paid to your linked bank account in weekly payout batches. Proven sellers — an established record of on-time, dispute-free sales — are paid within 1–3 business days of release instead.
- New-seller reserve: during your first 60 days of selling, 10% of each payout is held as a rolling reserve and paid to you as it ages past 60 days. The reserve covers refunds and chargebacks and is not a fee — you receive all of it.
- A paid order that is never shipped does not pay out. It is automatically resolved as a full refund to the buyer if it is still unshipped 30 days after payment.
- Receiving payouts requires a completed Stripe Connect account with bank details provided. See Section 3.
3. Identity Verification & Stripe Connect
- Before you can receive payouts, you must verify your identity through Stripe Connect: a government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) and a Tax ID (SSN or EIN), plus your bank account details for payouts.
- Verification is required under the INFORM Consumers Act and for tax reporting.
- Your ID, Tax ID, and bank details are collected and held by Stripe. Bonbba does not store your full bank account number. By completing verification you also agree to the Stripe Connect account agreement.
- You may list items before verification is complete, but payouts are paused until verification is finished. If we ask you to complete or update verification and it is not completed within 10 days, payouts stay paused and new listings may be paused until it is done. This is an administrative pause, not a ban.
- Keep your verification and bank information accurate and up to date.
4. Authenticity — Zero Tolerance
Every item listed on Bonbba must be 100% authentic.
- Selling a counterfeit item results in an immediate account ban.
- Funds from a sale under investigation for counterfeiting are frozen while the investigation runs.
- You may appeal by providing proof of authenticity, such as purchase receipts or certificates of authenticity.
- Every appeal is reviewed by a human, not an automated system. Bonbba makes the final decision on appeals.
- If a ban is upheld, money owed to buyers from the banned account's sales is refunded to those buyers first.
5. Account Suspension & Bans
Bonbba bans seller accounts for two reasons only:
- Fraud — deceptive practices, fake listings, or payment fraud.
- Counterfeit items — selling fakes or replicas (appeal allowed, see Section 4).
That is the complete list. We do not ban sellers for high volume, professional photography, or fast listing. Professional sellers are welcome.
Other rule violations are handled without a ban: a listing that breaks the rules — for example, a prohibited item — is removed, and we notify you. Repeated violations can lead to listing restrictions. The payout pause for incomplete verification (Section 3) is administrative and is not a ban.
6. Prohibited Items
Some items may not be listed on Bonbba. The single, complete list is on the Policies page, and it is the same list everywhere on Bonbba. If an item on that list is listed, we remove the listing and notify the seller.
7. Listing Requirements
- Use clear, accurate photos of the actual item being sold. Stock photos are not allowed.
- Describe the item honestly — include brand, size, condition, and any flaws or defects.
- Ship exactly as described. The item, condition, and included accessories must match your listing.
- Select the correct condition: New with tags, New without tags, Like New, Excellent, Good, or Fair.
- For footwear, specify box condition: New/Used with box, without box, or box with no lid.
- You may update pricing at any time before a sale. Select the appropriate category for your item.
- Only list items you own and can ship.
8. Shipping
- The buyer pays for shipping at checkout. When your item sells, Bonbba provides you with a prepaid shipping label for the package size on the listing. You do not pay for the label.
- Ship within the handling window stated on your listing (1–10 business days; 3 unless you set a longer window). The window you state is your deadline — backorders are allowed inside it, late shipment is a defect on your record.
- Use the provided label and make sure the tracking shows the shipment. Tracking is required on every order.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- If you cannot ship on time, notify the buyer immediately through Bonbba messages. Unshipped orders are refunded to the buyer as described in Section 2.
- You are responsible for the item until the carrier's tracking shows it was handed over. If a shipment is lost after carrier acceptance, contact us and we will work with you and the buyer on a resolution.
9. Returns & Disputes
- A buyer may open a dispute within 3 days of delivery if the item is significantly not as described, counterfeit, or damaged.
- While a dispute is open, the funds for that order stay held.
- Bonbba mediates disputes and makes the final decision. Both buyer and seller may provide evidence.
- If a dispute is decided for the buyer because the item was significantly not as described or counterfeit, the buyer receives a full refund — item price, buyer fee, and shipping — and you cover the return shipping if the item is returned.
- Change-of-mind returns are your choice. If you accept one, the buyer pays return shipping, and the buyer fee is not refunded.
- If funds for a sale were already released to you and the sale is later decided against you, the refund amount may be deducted from your future payouts or charged to your connected account.
- Chargebacks: if a buyer disputes a payment with their bank, we share the order and delivery records with the bank. Where a chargeback succeeds because an item was not shipped or was significantly not as described, the cost falls on the sale and may be deducted from your payouts.
10. Tax Reporting
- Bonbba and Stripe will issue IRS Form 1099-K to sellers who meet the federal reporting threshold, as required by law.
- Your Tax ID (SSN or EIN) is collected through Stripe Connect for this reporting.
- You are responsible for reporting all income from your sales on your tax return, whether or not you receive a 1099-K.
- Keep accurate records of your sales, costs, and expenses.
11. Changes to These Terms
Bonbba may update these Seller Terms. We will notify sellers of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
